MELBOURNE Packing Day

Friday the 1st of December.
9:30am (For briefing) to 2:30pm. (There is some flexibility with the finish time.)

Lunch will be provided for your team as well as water and snacks throughout the day.

The Melbourne Packing location will be at a site within Braybrook, VIC. The exact location will be emailed to registered volunteers once confirmed.

For the Friday Teams Packing Day we’re welcoming teams from small businesses, corporates, sports clubs, dance clubs and organisations to volunteer together on the packing line.

Volunteers must be at least 12 years old. Entrance to the packing warehouse is conditional on agreeing to the Volunteer Agreement upon registration, and agreement that the volunteer will attend the on-site induction at the start of their packing session.

For the Friday Teams Packing Day, we encourage businesses & teams to consider a donation for each member they register.

The team member may choose to make a donation themselves or their employer may choose to donate as part of their Community Engagement.

Every dollar donated contributes to the costs of Christmas Box and every $40 fully funds a box, helping feed a family in need.

Check to see if your workplace has a Community Volunteering Procedure. Some workplaces will allow their staff to take a certain number of days a year of ‘special paid leave’ for the purpose of community engagement. If your workplace does have a procedure in place, approach your team leader to share the information found on this page and ask whether they’d support a staff team to register.

If your workplace is not able to release you to join the Teams Packing Day on Friday the 1st of December, then there is the option for you to pack with your friends outside of a team on Saturday the 2nd of December.

Once you fill out the form below, we’ll then be in contact to let you know if your team meets the criteria and provide you with a link to register your team.

As part of this package, we encourage your team to wear their team shirts and officially represent their workplace. You will also be given access to photos of your team volunteering which will be taken throughout the day by our professional photographer. These photos will be shared upon request within 7 days of the Packing Day.

8:30am - Lunch time

Free Sausage sizzle will be provided at lunch time.

For the Saturday Community Packing Day, there is no cost to be involved. We do encourage individuals to consider a donation to go towards feeding a family. This can be done when registering.
